The Secret by Rhonda Byrne Reviewed By Janvhi Mishra (Hyderabad)

The first book in the secret series is the secret followed by the power, magic and hero. The big secret revealed is the law of attraction which says that we attract everything in our life. It explains that the universe is a catalogue through which you can place an order for anything you desire just by thinking about itAs thoughts become things, every time a thought flows, the law of attraction is working. All you have to do is ask , believe and receiveThe book is divided into the secret to money, relationships, health, world, to you and to life

It also explains why instead of being anti we need to be more pro about something because when we give attention and emotion to what we don’t want we are adding energy to it and attracting the same. (Mother Teresa)

Several famous and successful people share their experience of applying the LOA throughout the book such as Jack Canfield – author for chicken soup for soul  , Marci Shimoff – Chicken Soup series, Happy for no reason and Love for no reason, Morris Goodman – The miracle man known for his recovery from a plane crash which left him paralyzed and unable to move, breathe, talk or swallowDr. Joe Vitale, author of multiple bestsellers, one of his popular titles Zero Limits: The Secret Hawaiian System for Wealth, Health, Peace known as Ho'oponopono

I believe for most of us getting through first few chapters will be hard as they are repetitive and make you feel like going through a lot of a trailers and ads before a movie but what I like about this book is the metaphors used to make it relatable and easy to understand. A brilliant example is Aladdin and the lamp. How Aladdin rubs the lamp and a genie appears to fulfil his wish. Similarly, the universe is our genie and you can wish for anything you want. The universe says your wish is my command. Each chapter ends with summary of main points and things to remember.

On a personal note this may be a book for someone who isinto reading regularly as it is a bit heavy for starters even though its 200 odd pages but it will take a while to process things. My advice for readers would be start this book only when you have time and a clear head. You can let me know what your opinion on the book by sliding into my DM.
